Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: knetworkmanager

KNetworkManager cannot establish a wireless connection.

Knetwork... is seen all networks, seen wired and wireless devices (i was
trying with a Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187B Wireless 802.11g,
54Mbps, and so tested with usb modem -- a EDGE connection, seen as
ttyAC0 device). Selecting for a non wired device or network (in WiFi,
there are no diference for WEP or WPA), KnetworkManager do not shows
none. It just not try establish a connection.

I thing there are other packages that are with problem, like network-
manager or other, because trying a connection with wi-fi radar, for
exemple, It cannot establish a WPA or WPA2 connection...

I get EDGE connections with USB Phone/Modem with kppp!

My adaptor:
Bus 001 Device 006: ID 0bda:8189 Realtek Semiconductor Corp. RTL8187B Wireless 802.11g 54Mbps Network Adapter

Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
