Howdy onyxrev,

I think that you actually have 2 notification receiving widgets (as a
matter of fact they are kind of widgets and if you are uber lucky you
can detach them from systray). I certainly hope this will change in 4.3,
but for now that would be my guess of failure here.

If you attach the file .kde/share/config/plasma-appletsrc (located in
your home directory), we can make sure it  is that and help you resolve
it, the original bug that one is capable of detaching the notifications
portion is however unsolvable for the time being.
