enough to diagnose the problem.

Which version of ubuntu? What wesion of kmail/kontact/kdepim is
installed?

Was this a clean install of the version of ubuntu you are using or an
upgrade from a previous release?

Are you up to date with current packages? Do you use any PPA's or repo's
other than the standard ones?

Please be as specific as you can when filing bug reports as it helps
thrack down issues in a more timely manner.
