[Bug 272693] [NEW] pop-up messages appear on top center area of a screen

Public bug reported:

When new messages have arrived, pop-ups have appear not in the bottom-
right corner of a screen as they should be, but on a top of a screen, in
the center of it. And they place not one behind another, but one under
another, in some cascade way. Very annoying...
