Binary package hint: konqueror-kde4
When using Konqueror in KDE 4.1.1 as a file manager, I can make it crash
100% of the time using this procedure:
1) Open Konqueror, or use any existing instance.
2) Split the view into two or more panels, or restore an already-crashed instance with split views.
3) Use Ctrl+Shift+R to close the active view, or close the active view from the Window menu.
Konqueror crashes at this point.
I'm on Kubuntu 8.04, upgraded in-place from 6.10 to 7.04 to 7.10 to
8.04.
Here's the information the bug reporting system asks for:
1) /etc/lsb-release
DISTRIB_ID=Ubuntu
DISTRIB_RELEASE=8.04
DISTRIB_CODENAME=hardy
DISTRIB_DESCRIPTION="Ubuntu 8.04.1"
2) konqueror-kde4:
Installed: 4:4.1.1-0ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa1
Candidate: 4:4.1.1-0ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa1
Version table:
*** 4:4.1.1-0ubuntu1~hardy1~ppa1 0

100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
4:4.0.3-0ubuntu2 0
500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/universe Packages
3) I expected the active view to close, leaving all other views intact.
4) The entire Konqueror instance crashed, leaving no other views intact.

Status: Confirmed
