I am using the 3.0~betea4ubuntu3. I don't even get search list entries
for the cases named by Sokraates, like e.g. "phys" or "paw". Further I
can not find something with "firefox" even though this should be the
full package name.

Concerning the commen of Nils. I thought that I have this issue as well
first, however, this is not right. What you report is not a bug. There
are two different interfaces. They are called "adept" and "adept
installer". The first one is the real adept, und the second one is, what
corresponds to the "Add/Remove Software" application of ubuntu with the
gnome desktop.Confusingly "adept installer" is reached directly in the
computer tab of the kde4 kickoff menu, whereas the real adet is "hidden"
in Applications -> System. Alternatively you can start it by hitting
Alt+F2 and typing "adept" and choosing "Adept Manager" by using the tab-
key or mouse.
