Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: knetworkmanager

NOTE: this is a showstopper bug for kubuntu/Intrepid!

I am unable to connect to our University's eduroam network, a WPA2
Enterprise security network with TLS and certificates.

I confirmed my credentials are correct by successfully using them in
wpa_supplicant.

They are shown here, with some private information replaced by XXX;

network={
        ssid="eduroam"
        mode=0
        proto=WPA2
        key_mgmt=WPA-EAP
        eap=TLS
        identity="XXXXXXX at uni-XXXXXXXXX.de"
        ca_cert="/home/mandree/rootcert.crt"
        client_cert="/home/mandree/eduroam.crt"
        private_key="/home/mandree/eduroam.key"
        private_key_passwd="XXXXXXXX"
}

I configure these in knetworkmanager, set password=abc (literally, our
NOC doesn't check it, given we use cert-based authentication) and leave
the anonymous identity blank.

knetworkmanager does not save certificate information to
knetworkmanagerrc. Next time I open "Edit Connections...", these fields
end up blank.

         Status: New
