The reason the konsole tab is not working in Kile, seems to be that it
needs the "old" konsole from KDE3 not KDE4. See

At the moment Kile in Intrepid depends on  konsole (4:4.1.2-0ubuntu4)
when konsole (4:3.5.x) is needed. However as far as I can see the KDE3
version of konsole is not shipped with Intrepid right now.
