You have been subscribed to a public bug:
I'm currently running Kubuntu 8.04 w/ KDE 3.5.9.
I installed Amarok and got my iPod (3rd Gen Nano) to function properly
(awesome!). However, I then checked "auto-mount" under the iPod's
settings and since then it has stopped working. Sometimes when I plug
it in, it does mount properly at /media/K-Pod (my ipod name), I can
browse it through the file manager, but Amarok will no longer pick it
up. After a few tries of reconfiguring it in Amarok, the software now
crashes when I plug in the iPod. Amarok will simply hang, I can kill it
but then am unable to restart the software w/o a reboot of the system.
This has repeated 3 or 4 times now.
In my effort to resolve this problem, I tried to access "Disks &
Filesystems" under KControl, but that module is not working either. I
googled for a solution and tried reinstalling and reconfiguring
kcontrol-guidance, but this did not solve this problem.
** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
