Problem persists in intrepid final, updated as of today (11/26).

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: amarok

- Removing files from to trash fails. From Playlist>Right Click a file>Manage Files> Delete Files.
+ Removing files from playlist to trash fails. From Playlist>Right Click a file>Manage Files> Delete Files.
A following pop up window appears:

Could not start process Unable to create io-slave: klauncher said:
  Unknown protocol 'trash'

However, directly deleting the files, instead of sending them to trash,
  works.

  Amarok version: 1.4.10
  Ubuntu Version: Intrepid Beta
