[Bug 260270] Re: KDE 4.1 welcome sound on login is stopped prematurely

Just my observation, but this problem didn't seem to occur for me until
after I installed Compiz.  It seems like Compiz is bogging down the
system while it initializes and that cuts off the startup sound.  Can
anyone else confirm this?
