Using either RealVNC or TightVNC

If I enable krfb on my Kubuntu 8.10 system (KDE 4.1) the machine sends
an initial frame to the client which is (sometimes) displayed properly,
but it never gets updated. The mouse moves OK and is mirrored on the
server, but no image updates are sent to the client.
