Ok. Look carefully at this comment if your delete function works, but files don't get to the trashcan.

Also, please do not assign the bug to you. If you do, this would mean that you will fix this problem for all of us, recompile digikam and send it to the distribution Ubuntu. Leave it to "nobody".
