Thanks for taking the time to report this issue. I am marking this bug as invalid for the following reason:
This would be because, as far as the application/system is concerned, the pointer is still at that location.
This would be an issue with the VM software not with KDE. If you want, you can file a bug with VirtualBox here: http://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Bugtracker
