Gary,
I've copied your comment from the other thread here just to keep everything on one page.
###################
I was seeing this crash when adding a HP Photosmart C6180 network driver, it now seems to have been fixed.
Now, when I click OK on the Printer Name/Description/Location and there
is a space in the Printer Name, there is a popup that flashes
momentarily, before disappearing. It works properly if I replace the
space with an underscore.
For reference:
$ sudo apt-cache policy system-config-printer-kde
system-config-printer-kde:
Installed: 0.11
Candidate: 0.11
Version table:
*** 0.11 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/main Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status
#################
I have been able to reproduce this bug now. It occurs with any printer.
If I try to add a new CUPS-PDF printer then on the last page of the New
Printer dialog the Printer Name given is CUPS-PDF_Printer. If I replace
either the underscore or the hyphen with a space I get the same
backtrace. See below
