[Bug 292038] [NEW] knetworkmanager fails to complete wifi connection

I'm on a kubuntu 8.04.1 and after a recent update, knetworkmanager fails
to complete registration on the wifi network (which can be wirelessly
accessed just fine with other computers). Also, knetworkmanager was
working flawlessly before this update. Presently it can detect the wifi
networks, but when I try to register to them it remains blocked at 28%
progress. Nevertheless this is not 100% of the cases, and from time to
time it manages to connect, and then connectivity is perfect. I could
not isolate the conditions to make it work repeatedly.

My current version of knetworkmanager is 0.2.2 using KDE 3.5.10
according to the about info. The problem manifested itself yesterday,
when I had to reboot the computer, and the update was still this week, I
think
