Blacklisting the video module works as a workaround for me, but I think
it's not the real solution. I'm attaching my lshal output after
backlisting the video module.

This is after pressing brightness down hotkey 1 time:

snifer at snifer-laptop:~$ lshal -m

Start monitoring devicelist:
-------------------------------------------------
23:00:06.637: platform_i8042_i8042_KBD_port_logicaldev_input condition ButtonPressed = brightness-down
