I am going to go ahead and close this report then as a couple of us on
IRC were unable to confirm this. I am wondering if it may have something
to due with print drivers possibly.

I measured 1 inch on my screen and then measured 1 inch on the print out
and the same amount of characters were present, meaning everything
matched up. My dpi shows 98x98 on my 1280x800 laptop.

If you come back to Kubuntu and see this issue is still present, then
feel free to reopen this report. Thanks!
