Thanks for reporting this issue and helping to make Kubuntu better.

Unfortunately the stacktrace provided has mostly undefined entries,
which is normal if the debugging symbols are not installed.

Could you please install the package with the Kopete debugging symbols
(kopete-dbgsym) which can be found in the repositories

deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com hardy main universe
deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com hardy-updates main universe
deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com hardy-proposed main universe
deb http://ddebs.ubuntu.com hardy-security main universe

and reproduce this problem.

The stacktrace obtained should then have the information necessary to
look at this problem.
