I can confirm this bug both for KDE 3.5.9 and KDE 4.1 RC packages.
Even more, when I am trying to copy something over the network using konqueror or dolphin, I am ending with the not correct filenames.

The same occurs using the Samba protocol through Konqueror and Dolphin.

If I use command line scp to copy the files, or ssh just to "play" on
the remote computer, everything is fine.
