Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kde-systemsettings

Go into the "About me" section of kde-systemsettings and press "Change password", give it your current password.
If you are not a local but a NIS user, you will get an error message containing the following:

>> Die Kommunikation mit "passwd" ist fehlgeschlagen.
>> "passwd: User not known to the underlying authentication module passwd: password unchanged "

It seems that the module in kde-systemsettings tries to use the "passwd"
command instead of "yppasswd" not taking into account that the user whos
password is to be changed could be a NIS user.
