Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: kde-guidance-powermanager
In the kde guidance power manager it shows 3 cpus, with the final one
greyed out and at 0mhz, and i only have 2 :-) . After looking into it a
little, it seems that the program looks in /sys/devices/system/cpu/ for
the number of cpus, and if i do a "ls /sys/devices/system/cpu/" i get:
cpu0 cpu1 cpuidle sched_mc_power_savings
I believe its the cpuidle that is causing the miscount, but i dont
really know what cpuidle does, so I dont really know the 'proper' fix.
** Affects: kde-guidance (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 155096
Power manager mistakingly recognises /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpuidle as cpu
