Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kdm

At the KDM login screen, if a user enters the wrong password, and then
presses any key before the "incorrect password" dialog disappears, the
screen will freeze and will not unfreeze until X.org is restarted.

I'm currently using the 64-bit version of Kubuntu Hardy Alpha4, but have
found this problem persistent since the 64-bit Gutsy RC (I didn't test
Feisty). In case it's of any use, I'm currently using a Gateway NX860XL
laptop, with an Nvidia GeForce Go 7900 GS graphics card, the Nvidia
169.09 driver (installed from the repos), and an Intel Core2 Duo T7200
processor. My desktop is currently running the 64-bit version of
Kubuntu Gutsy, with an Nvidia GeForce 7300 GS graphics card, the Nvidia
169.09 driver (installed using Envy), and an AMD Athlon 64 4000+
processor.

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
