I have a NVidia card on my main system, but I use a Pentium 75 with a
SiS card as a remote X terminal, which shows the same (and even more
visible) flicker. Only inside the KDE4 session (not the login screen).
Killing KRunner stops the flickering, so I don't think the problem is in
the card or the graphics driver.
