[Bug 309419] [NEW] jaunty: Kubuntu panel doesn't extend all the way across desktop on all intel machine

ISO BUILD: 20081218.5

SYMPTOMS: Kubuntu's panel is short by about 2 inches on my all intel
machine only.  Resolution is 1440X900

CAUSE: Unknown but doesn't affect the nvidia based machine in the same
manner.  Nv driver at the same resolution.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:
1/ install kubuntu on an all intel machine with a monitor res of 1440x900.
2/ see the panel fall short by approximately 2 inches

     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
