[Bug 254963] [NEW] [kde4] Application Launcher widget stops working

Public bug reported:

on kubuntu 8.04.1 with KDE4.1 x86_64. After a random amount of time
(anything from few hours to a day or two) after login in the
"application launcher menu" (and the "application launcher" as wel)
widget stops working, it still looks fine and displays all the normal
apps etc but when clicking on the app name to launch them does nothing.
This applies only to shortcuts in sub menus ie. firefox kate etc, not to
the shortcuts in the base menu like "help", "switch user", "logout",
etc.

using Alt-F2, or launching apps from the console works 100%.

Restarting the X server fixes the problem
