I have similar problem as well. The IP stays at 0.0.0.0 and the manual configuration button doesn't work....
I'm not so sure about the bug being fixed. I downloaded Kubuntu KDE4 last night, so it doesn't seem to make much sense
 I suspect the bug is still present. I'm gonna use Ubuntu in the mean time :/
