I've done a fresh install of kubuntu hardy on a new computer.  After
setting it up for my accounts (2 yahoo and 2 aim) it shows the same
behavior.  Every time I receive a new IM, the whole application freezes
temporarily for about 10-20 seconds.  The systray icon disappears and
the window darkens.  Then the new IM pops up and everything is back to
normal.  Again, kopete is the only app that has this problem.
