Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: klaptopdaemon
System: Dell Latitude C840 (Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 - M CPU
1.80GHz, 512mb RAM, 20gb HD, nVidia GeForce4 440 Go)
klaptopdaemon: 4:3.5.7-1ubuntu4
Prior to updating to Gutsy from Feisty I was able to run the kde laptop
monitor applet & daemon without any problems. However, after updating
to Gutsy I have discovered that the daemon is causing my systems
response to become choppy. It's most noticeable when using Amarok to
play either files or streams, where there will be a break in the music
that lasts a split second, enough to notice, but it happens
intermittently. However, you can guarantee that it will have happened
at least ten times during a single track.
It's also noticeable when using other programs, especially affecting the
movement of the mouse.
I'll include the output of dmesg as an attachment. Please let me know
what other information I can provide which would be helpful.
** Affects: kdeutils (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
