I forgot to mention, that I also got shown the error message
**** Unable to open the initial device, quitting
some times until I clicked a "clear" button.

Now this message is not shown any more, but the problem is still the
same.

** Summary changed:

- Print preview does not work for some zoom percentages
+ [gutsy] Print preview does not work for some zoom percentages

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: kdebase
+
+ kdebase Version: 4:3.5.7-1ubuntu23, all packages current from gutsy.

When creating a print preview for documents in kmail or konqueror
(File -> Print.. -> makring the checkbox fpr print preview -> ok)
the result depends on the zoom percentage.

Choosing 300% and above only white pages are shown.
Choosing 12.5 %, 33.3% or 66.6% no page is shown at all,
you can only see the grey background.

What makes this even worse is that print preview remembers the last zoom setting.
So print preview won't work any more until you get the idea to change the zoom setting
  to a working value.

  This bug seems similar to
  http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=289947
which was fixed a long time ago.

Another Bug is that confirming the zoom setting from the dropdown listbox with enter
does not do the right thing, but print the document.
