I just had this happen on my laptop as well (running Feisty Gusy Gibbion
alpha, herd 5). I was not trying to access smb shares -- my music is
stored locally -- but I did use SMB to copy that music from my old
laptop to my new laptop.

Jeff, I understand it would be more useful if we could compile Amarok
from source, but won't doing so ultimately make using apt-get impossible
for future releases?
