[Bug 156937] arts hangs with v3417la when playing anything on gutsy 7.10

I think this bug its derivated from this other one:

Started the computer with the option acpi=off, managed to "work" with it... and everything was almost fine... but when started to listen some music... it just wen like a scratched cd playback... (sorry for the bad english)
