Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kubuntu-default-settings

Ok, this is my first attempt on trying to report a bug, so sorry if I do
not give sufficient information. Please ask if you need some more! The
problem is rather easy to describe. When I tried to login, after writing
password and hitting enter, I got a black screen for a few seconds, then
went back to login screen again. No warnings or error messages.
Reckovery mode worked fine. The problem seemed to be that my home
directory was full:

df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
...
/dev/sda5 26G 24G 0 100% /home
...

The problem is also described in this link:
http://ubuntu-utah.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?p=3801465#post3801465

Don't know if this is an "intenional bug", but you should at least give
some error message, or a warning message when home-directory is at say
95% usage.
