[Bug 162118] Kubuntu / gutsy / kdm - no slideshow

Good Day . . .

I have tried to enable the slideshow option in KDM but all my efforts
have been in vain. The best that I can get is a single colour background
(no theme) whether or not this is good or bad.

kcontrol and systemsettings offer no help. I have researched
/etc/kde3/kdm/kdmrc, /etc/kde3/kdm/backgroundrc, and /etc/X11/xdm/? but
none seem to have the ability to activate the slideshow.

Any help?
