Well, an update to this: the directory exists in /usr/share/apps, but it doesn’t in ~/.kde/share/apps. Copied manually, it does load a little faster and doesn’t show the exclamation marks. -- Kopete: jabber starts up slow https://launchpad.net/bugs/89346
