Loren,

Just following up on this bug. Were you ever able to reproduce the
problem? Also, as Kristian points out this lock occurs when apt is
running which suggests that another apt related process was running, was
this the case. If not then that suggests that something is maintaining a
lock when it shouldn't be which might be a bigger problem. If the
problem is not reproducible or we can't figure out more details then the
report might as well be closed in this case.
