[Bug 123784] Notice of a new message arrived displays also on the same desktop where the chat window is even though the option to avoid it is turned on

Public bug reported:

When I enable notifications of arriving messages and check the option to show them only if the chat window is not on the current desktop, it works, but only until I change desktops: from then it displays on every desktop, also the one that the chat window is open on.
Confirmed on two Feisty machines, one running KDE 3.5.7
