Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: kghostview

Using Edgy Eft. When starting KGhostview, the progam loaded is in fact
KPDF with 'KGhostView' in the title bar; the help menu shows 'About
KPDF' and 'KPDF Handbook".

It opens PS files by converting them to PDF, which in some cases makes a horrible mess of them (e.g. if they're produced by Inkscape).
KGhostview itself used to have no problem with these files (nor does GGv or gv).

steps to reproduce:
1. start KGhostView
2. open postscript file
3. notice 'converting to PDF' message.

package version: 4:3.5.5-0ubuntu2

** Affects: kdegraphics (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: Unconfirmed
