Just in case this helps at all:

I just installed kpilot_3.5.5-0ubuntu1.1~proposed_i386.deb from
http://ubuntu.lnix.net/edgy/updates/kdepim-proposed/ and it fixed my
sync issues with Kubuntu 6.10 Edgy (with latest updates) and a Palm
Tungsten E.
