[Bug 79128] Amarok doesn't output to 2nd soundcard consistently

Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: amarok
I tried getting Amarok to output to my second card two ways; first, by
setting output to alsa, and setting all devices to "plughw:1,0". This
worked initially but broke on the second song change (xine complained it
couldn't find a sound device).
Then, I made a /etc/asoundrc, and set the default to my second
soundcard. I fired up amarok, set all output to default, and it
worked...until the 2nd or 3rd song, when it somehow reverted to the
first card. So, something is clearly jacked up in the logic of card
switching...
Also, a great feature would be the ability to output to multiple
devices. My second card is actually a wireless device which I have in a
seperate room. I'd like amarok to play music for my whole house in this
way.
** Affects: amarok (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: Unconfirmed
