I haven't tested, but I'm guessing the reason I didn't experience the issue is because of my existing kopeterc file when I ran Edgy. Listen to Lothar, the bug is probably still present :) -- Kopete gives error when you're on your own contact list https://launchpad.net/bugs/46657
