[Bug 85386] no swap memory - feisty

updated from edgy to feisty.
there is no swap memory when probed with the memory module from kinfocenter
furthermore, in system administation disk and filesystem module cannot be loaded. (program mentions that error occurred during uprgrade leaving orphaned controlmodule or third party ... )

kernel 2.6.20-8-386
compaq presario desktop with 750 Mb in ram.
