Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: knetworkmanager
My machine is an Acer Aspire 5685WLMI, it's running KUbuntu Herd4 dist-upgraded to 21/02.
I connect to the network through the LAN adapter, the wifi adapter is not in use but is detected and working.
When I start KDE and try to use any application that makes use of the
network and that Knetworkmanager is started, I can't access the
Internet, typically I can't connect to Msn with Kopete, Akregator and
Konqueror can't browse the Internet either.
As soon as I quit KNetworkManager, everything works fine.
The problem doesn't seem to affect Firefox but I suppose it's because it
doesn't use the same network libraries.
There is just one exception for Kde applications, the Jabber plugin of
Kopete seems to work even when Knetworkmanager is running.
