[Bug 85893] [Feisty] Kubuntu -- Problems w/ usplash and boot process

Public bug reported:

Not quite sure when this started, but with  a completly updated Feisty system, I am no longer  seeing the usplash completely through the boot process.  About halfway  through start up it reverts back to just a text based boot screen.
Was talking w/ people on IRC today and they were seeing the same bug.
