[Bug 85298] New KDE logout can't be used with keyboard

Recently there was a new logout panel introduced, with four buttons aligned on a 2×2 grid (the old panel had Konqui on it and the available options as KPushButtons on the right). 
 
Issue: The new panel can only be used with the mouse, as the “buttons” do not receive focus when I tab over them, nor do they have shortcuts. 
 
This is a severe u7y and a11y problem. 
 
I have kde 4:3.5.6-0ubuntu6 installed at the moment.
