[Bug 179495] [hardy] "kdesu kcontrol" doesn't work

Linux andreas-laptop 2.6.24-2-generic #1 SMP Thu Dec 20 17:36:12 GMT 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

Running "kdesu kcontrol" asks for the password; after inputting the correct password kcontrol just flickers on the screen (it appears and disappears again 0.1 second later). Only output in the terminal is:
kdecore (KProcess): WARNING: _attachPty() 11

Running "sudo kcontrol" works fine.
Running "kdesu kate" works fine.
Seems to be a combination of kcontrol and kdesu that messes things up.
