[Bug 175188] Re: kate bus error on startup

This drove me crazy for some time, because I knew it couldn't be a
problem with kate, or kde, or libc, even though that was what it looked
like on the surface.

Finally I ran a few different reinstalls on the same hardware. I was
always able to reproduce the problem until I switched from XFS to ext3
as my filesystem type. (!!!) Now everything is working. Scary.
