You have been subscribed to a public bug:
In KDE, when right-clicking on the clock in the panel, then choosing
'Adjust Date/Time', it asks for root password. Given the correct root
password, the 'ask for root password' dialog disappears and nothing
happens.
When going to K-menu -> System Settings -> Date & Time, the date & time
dialog comes up with everything greyed out. It requires Administrator
Mode to change anything. Clicking on Administrator Mode, displays a red
border around the dialog for about 1 second, then the red border
vanishes and nothing has happened (we stay in user mode).
** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
Importance: Undecided
Status: New
