[Bug 172390] KDM already logged in

Launchpad Bug Tracker 172390 at bugs.launchpad.net
Tue Dec 4 22:47:58 UTC 2007

You have been subscribed to a public bug:

When several accounts are logged in on a system and a new login window
happens to be up, those who are already logged in are *not* notified as
to being logged in already. if a user is already logged in and logs in
again, they will see no prompts, warnings or anything. they simply log
in. this is incorrect.

hints should be made available or a "start new session/switch to
session" dialog should pop up when an already logged in user tries to
log in again. as for hints on a face browser, it would be nice if it was
a bit detailed e.g., "logged in: F9" meaning, logged in and on console
F9. since a single click automatically inserts the users name and waits
for a password it would be nice if this remains the same. it will be an
added bonus if a double click automatically takes you to there logged in
console session.

** Affects: kdebase (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Wishlist
         Status: New
