It's worth noting that the problem doesn't affect Gmail accounts, but
only DreamHost accounts using POP3 (I've switched to IMAP and the
problem is gone).

I'm willing to switch back to POP3 to solve this problem. If some of the
developers want to reproduce this error, contact me (me at gustavonarea
dot net) and I'll create a temporary email account for him.
